A walker reported missing in the Highlands has been found, almost a week after he was heard from.
The family of Paul Conway thanked all those involved in the search for the 67-year-old.
He had travelled by train from his home city of Newcastle upon Tyne on Tuesday, 10 September, and contacted his family when he alighted at Glenfinnan about 6.40pm.
Mr Conway planned to walk to Inverie in Knoydart, but failed to arrive as expected on Friday afternoon, and the alarm was raised.
A major search began for the missing walker. He was found safe and well on Tuesday 17 September in a remote area south of Loch Morar, having got lost.
Police Scotland said he was taken to hospital as a precaution because of the long period he had spend outdoors, but was otherwise uninjured.

The 67-year-old from the Newcastle area had travelled to the Highlands on Tuesday, 10 September planning to complete a walk between Glenfinnan and Inverie in Knoydart.
He was reported missing having failed to arrive on Friday, 13 September.
Extensive searches were carried out and he was traced safe and well on Tuesday, 17 September in a remote area south of Loch Morar having become lost while en route.
He was taken to hospital as a precaution given the extensive time spent outdoors but was otherwise uninjured.
The walker’s son Chris Conway said: “On behalf of the whole family I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in searches for our father over the past few days.
“He is in good health and good spirits after this experience and again I would like to thank everyone who has helped find him and bring him to safety.”
Inspector Ross McCartney from Fort William police station said: “We are delighted that Paul has been found and reunited safe and well with his family.
“This was a challenging and protracted search involving a number of partner agencies and specialist police resources.
“These included Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team, the RAF Mountain Rescue Team, Search and Rescue Dog Association, HM Coastguard and the Police Scotland Mountain Rescue Team.
“We are grateful to everyone involved in the search for their efforts in bringing about this positive outcome.”
