The road along Glen Nevis will be closed at the end of February to allow a film crew to operate in the area.
Walkers and cyclists will be guided through the site by marshals, Highland Council said.
The authority has made a traffic order closing the road from a point 700m south of the youth hostel, for about 1.3km. The order will be in force from 8am on Tuesday 28 February until 5.45pm on Friday 3 March.
The council said the closure is to allow Filmy Locations a safe working space for workers to undertake the filming.
The road closure will not affect the starting points for the ascent routes up Ben Nevis via the pony track, which are north of the closed area, nor will the route of the West Highland Way be affected, but motor vehicles will not be able to access the car parks at the southern reaches of Glen Nevis.
Motors will be permitted through the closed section for an hour from midday and for 15 minutes at 10.30am and 3pm for essential access to residential properties which can only be reached through the filming site. Access for emergency vehicles will also be maintained.

09 February 2023Wow. Does that film company have shares in Dartmoor to?
Rights of access are so cheap these days.

10 February 2023Absolute arrogance, who do they think they are!
Do these film crews think that they are better than us?
Well, our great biased media and the rest of the so-called elite definitely can't blame this one on Brexit like they do nearly every thing else!

10 February 2023No doubt another world-wide hit film that will encourage over-tourism that has ruined Glen Etive and Skye.

10 February 2023You ok Don ? Brexit not working out for you ?
Really doesn't sound that awful and the council gets the funds ? Nothing to get your knickers in a twist over.

11 February 2023Don.
I agree. It would be terrible to book a short break somewhere and find when you arrive that movie stars are treated above you by boot licking local councils. How terrible that you can not go where you want during your short stay in the area because Tom Cruise and his colleagues are viewed as being better than us.

11 February 2023It may not affect BenNevis, but it would certainly be a problem for anyone wanting to do the ring of Steall

11 February 2023Sounds like it's only car access that's being prohibited. Could be a good time to go on foot or bike, might keep the over entitled riff raff out.

17 February 2023Definitely a good reason to keep a bike on you - it is too easy to close roads now (a consequence of legislation to aid the London Marathon)
I only hope that the filming is worth it - not like the one in Glasgow where they binned the film. (And yes, it's nothing to do with brexidiots)
