Police in the Highlands said a body has been found on a ridge above Glen Coe.
The discovery was made on Wednesday in a gully on Aonach Eagach, Police Scotland said.
A spokesperson said: “A formal identification has still to take place.
“However, police believe it to be 57-year-old Alan Taylor, who has been missing from Dundee since September 2021.
“Officers are liaising with the family. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”

17 September 2022So many tragic incidents. Perhaps more should be done to warn hikers/walkers of the dangers afoot. Many of the tourists to these parts are probably nearer 70 than 20 or 30. Those of us drawn to these are often oldsters who are most enthralled by all things Bronte and more prone to venture on a walk that turns into more of a climb than perhaps bargained for. I'd err on the side of more warning signs than fewer. Thanks for the warnings.

05 October 2022Re above. ‘Enthralled by all things Bronte.’ The nearest I ever got to a Brontë was a Kate Bush song. 70 next birthday.
