Police are appealing for the public’s help in finding a man who has gone missing.

Patrick Cahill is from Colwyn Bay in north Wales, but officers in Cumbria believe he is now in the Kendal or South Lakes area.

They said they have concerns for the welfare of the missing man.

Mr Cahill is travelling on foot, but may have used the train to reach Kendal, they said.

Cumbria Constabulary released a CCTV image of the missing man. Mr Cahill may be wearing a blue and green waterproof jacket, or the clothing he is seen in in the image.

Officers also issued a picture of a tent similar to the one in which he is believed to be staying.

A police spokesperson said: “If anyone knows where Patrick is, they are asked to contact officers on 101. Please quote log 22 of 1 September.
