Police said a man who was reported missing in the Lake District has been found.
Cumbria Constabulary said it had concerns for the welfare of Andrew Moorhouse on Wednesday.
He had been last seen on Lake Road in Keswick.
Police thanked those who shared the appeal for information on the missing walker who had also sparked a search earlier this year in Scotland.
In June Mr Moorhouse, of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, was reported missing in the Aviemore area. Police Scotland and Cairngorm Mountain Rescue mounted a search for the man, who was believed to have gone walking alone on forest paths between Aviemore and Coylumbridge and the Cairngorm Mountains.
Two days later, officers said Mr Moorhouse had been found safe and well.

01 October 2019I do hope it was impressed upon him the need to leave his walk plans with someone before he sets off .
Mike
01 October 2019I'm glad he's ok but this guy has history of similar (and dissimilar) antics so I hope the relevant authorities now get involved to try to prevent another recurrence.

06 October 2019Remove reference to him on here; it is giving him the attention he wants.

08 October 2019What a great example of how a free soul can wander the fells and paths of this country at will. Lets hope more like minded individuals follow suit, shaking off the constraints of the modern day, whilst knowing at all times, someone is watching their backs. Heartwarming, and well done all concerned.
Mike
09 October 2019Sorry Ted but "...whilst knowing at all times, someone is watching their backs..." is utterly wrong and very worrying. There is no-one tasked to look after anyone else on the hills; MRTs are voluntary and should not be an expectation or assumed back-up. Anyone who goes onto the hills thinking they may need help or rescue is being completely irresponsible, but worse they would be putting the lives of others at risk. I'm all for freedom to roam but you have to be capable and responsible for yourself.

09 October 2019Sorry Ted but "...whilst knowing at all times, someone is watching their backs..." is utterly wrong, naive and very worrying. There is no-one tasked to look after anyone else on the hills; MRTs are voluntary and should not be an expectation or assumed back-up. Anyone who steps out onto the hills thinking they may need help or rescue is being completely irresponsible, but worse they would be putting the lives of others at risk. I'm all for freedom to roam but you have to be capable and responsible for yourself.

Anyone who steps out onto the hills thinking they may need help or rescue is being completely irresponsible and, worse still, are putting others lives at risk. I'm all for freedom of the hills but you have to be capable and responsible for yourself.

09 October 2019Warm words Ted but I don't think you appreciate what a narcisisstic odd-ball nuisance this guy is.
Free-soul is 50% right.
All the passes
10 October 2019Ted, what wonderfully human thoughts they are for a fellow free soul, so in contradiction to the bad vibes from certain thoughts above. Let's hope they do not require the help of their brothers when wandering the hills with just their thoughts for company. People like Mr Moorhouse lay down a staircase which we can use to elevate our spirits in these darker days. Our guardian angels watch over us whence we walk.

10 October 2019Don't 'worry' Mike cast out thy demons and uncharitable thoughts.
Mr East Lancs, you seem to have a downer on thy fellow soul, Mr Moorhouse, open your heart and embrace him and his ways.
Lets hope neither of thee fall into the pit of Piers Gill !

10 October 2019I would not be at all surprised if the comments above are from a Andrew Moorhouse himself. It's likely he went 'missing' so that he could check message boards such as these.
Grough editors would certainly know!
Anyway... i'm off to the Lakes. I'll try and avoid the pits of eternal damp nation

You're probably right when you say the comments are from Andrew Moorhouse. Clearly they were all posted by the same person and clearly they were posted by someone who is either 'not all there' or just an attention seeking idiot who couldn't care less about the trouble he causes for other people.
