Two people have died after an avalanche on Ben Nevis.
Police said a rescue operation is still underway and that two other people have been injured.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said they were alerted to the avalanche in Number Five Gully on the Ben about 11.50am on Tuesday.
Lochaber and Glencoe Mountain Rescue Teams were called out and are still at the scene, police said.
A Coastguard helicopter has also flown to the site.
Police said more details will be released when available.
