Do you know a deserving rescue team who would benefit from some free gear?
Peli UK is looking for nominations for its Emergency Service Heroes 2018 campaign, with the winners picking up a Peli bundle worth £2,000.
A spokesperson for the brand, whose products include protective cases, torches, lighting and organisers, said: “It takes epic amounts of courage, determination, dedication and compassion to help others and save lives.
“From the incredible mountain rescue teams to the paramedics driving our ambulances, we see their incredible selflessness shine through during the toughest of times.
“Here at Peli UK, we think it’s about time that these heroes are well and truly celebrated, so we’re asking for nominations to be made, so we can truly celebrate these homegrown heroes.”
Anyone wishing to propose their emergency heroes can submit their nomination via the Peli UK website, but don’t delay as the closing date for submissions is 31 May.
Voting will be via Facebook and teams are welcome to nominate themselves for the campaign.

29 May 2018Hi I would like to nominate Holme valley mountain rescue team.... why well firstly because it’s the team I am a call out member for. So far this year we have attended more call outs than the whole of last year with a vast variety of call out types. We are currently in the process of testing out new waterproofs for the team to keep us safe from the elements and a 2ks worth of gear would definitely support towards that!
We give you all 24/7 what can you give to us? X

29 May 2018I would like to nominate Holme Valley mountain rescue team although I live in Somerset I am a regular visitor to the area which Holme Valley operates which gives me the added peace of mind when out walking with my dogs if I was to slip or fall this fantastic team would be here to my aid . Such a great team of selfless voluntary workers giving up their spare time to train and be there to help others in their hour of need.
Keep up the great work

29 May 2018I would like to nominate Holme Valley mountain rescue team for the incredible work they do. To say the work they do is voluntary, their commitment to the cause of helping other people and constantly doing everything possible to be well placed through a wide variety of different training methods Ian truly incredible! So comforting to know they will be there ready when called upon whenever required. Keep up the amazing work you’re doing!

29 May 2018I would like to nominate the home valley mountain rescue team, this year already they have faced some challenging times with more calls outs already that previous years, however still continue with 100% dedication to be there 24/7. I’m sure if they were to win this would only continue to support and improve the vital service they offer. Louise

01 June 2018I would like to nominate Home Valley MRT we walk a lot and luckily go prepared for the weather and if we feel it is beyond our capabilities or the weather is reaaly bad we do not endanger ourselves so that we hopefully will never need to call on these unpaid heroes to drop everything to go the rescue some ill equipped morons who could prevent the rescue of somebody else in greater need.

20 June 2018I would like to nominate Lochaber MRT. The area is huge and the effort required in keeping a rota of people on standby in remote areas combined with the need to fundraise makes them a worthy recipient.
