An American outdoor brand has set up a European office after the success of its high-performance flasks in the US.
David Ledouble has been appointed European managing director of Hydro Flask.
He was formerly director of sales at Black Diamond’s Swiss office, and will be based in Hydro Flask’s European office in Basle. He will also have responsibility for the company in Africa and the Middle East, developing business and establishing new agents in countries where Hydro Flask is not yet represented.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to joining the Hydro Flask team and setting up its European office.
“Europe represents a great opportunity with a lot of potential. The superior quality of the Hydro Flask product and its remarkable brand values are great assets to create a different experience for the consumer.”
Since launching in 2009, Hydro Flask has become the fastest growing hydration company in the American market and is now the number one insulated and number two overall American hydration brand.
Hydro Flask is part of Helen of Troy, whose brands include Febreze, Revlon, Braun and Brut.
