Andy Brown of Rosker

A keen trailrunner and mountain biker who grew up with a passion for hillwalking and rock-climbing has been appointed to a new post with a major outdoors distributer.

Andy Brown will take up the position of commercial sales development manager with Rosker, which distributes Primus, Fjällräven, Hanwag and Brunton in the UK.

Rosker said: “Andy brings to this new role a wealth of knowledge of the outdoor industry after spending the last 12 years working for Snow & Rock in a number of roles, including store management, company trainer and for the past six years as footwear and equipment buyer.

“Prior to that Andy worked with Cotswold and at outdoor centres in North Wales.

“Andy is very passionate about the outdoors, having grown up hillwalking and rock climbing and then venturing further afield on expeditions to the Alps and Norway. As a keen trailrunner and mountain biking enthusiast Andy can be found tearing up the trails across the South Downs and hopes to participate in future ultramarathons.”

Rosker managing director Ralph White said: “It’s great to welcome Andy to Rosker as our commercial sales development manager.

“His role is a brand new one, created to help strengthen our existing business base, achieve new sales opportunities that our brands are more than capable of gaining, and lead the sales office team to improved customer service levels.

“Andy has many years of retail experience, at retail store management level and as a multiple store buyer. He knows what our customers want and that knowledge will be a valuable addition. Whilst his role is mainly internal, customers will see him from time to time at trade shows and at any of our three showrooms.”
