The Norrøna Falketind vest

A new insulated vest from Scandinavian brand Norrøna is aimed at fast-moving outdoors fans.

The Falketind PrimaLoft 100 Vest features the PrimaLoft’s Silver Insulation Active, offering both maximum highest breathability and thermal properties for what the brand calls ‘high-octane’ activities, allowing the wearer maximum versatility.

The use of the insulation enables Norrøna to produce its lightest and most breathable vest to date.

PrimaLoft said: “The construction of PrimaLoft Silver Insulation Active enables excess heat and moisture to escape, regulating temperature and keeping the user comfortable, warm and dry during prolonged periods in the outdoors.

“This soft, packable and water-resistant insulation also has an industry-leading warmth-to-weight ratio.”

It said the Falketind PrimaLoft 100 Vest is windproof and breathable so will protect you when the gales are blowing while also keeping you warm and fresh. “Made for year-round activities, the Falketind PrimaLoft 100 Vest is suitable for trekking, glacier walking, climbing, backpacking, trail running, cycling and much more,” it added.

“Perfect for wearing alone or with an outer jacket, the vest can easily be compressed into a packable pocket, making it a natural addition to your pack. Additional functional features include above-harness handwarming pockets, a warm and weather protective collar and a one-handed elastic adjustment in the hem.

The Falketind costs £139 and comes in men’s sizes S-XL and women’s XS-L, in five different colours in each variant.
