Police searching for a missing man say they have received several potential sightings by members of the public.
Officers believe Terence Kilbride may be camping in Aberdeenshire.
The 48-year-old, originally from Warrington in Cheshire, is known to spend time in the outdoors.
Inspector Christine Gordon of Police Scotland said: “We have had an excellent response from the public following the appeal we made yesterday to trace Terence.
“We have had a number of calls from members of the public who report that they have seen a person matching Terence’s description in both the Bridge of Dee area in Aberdeen and also in the Deeside area in Aberdeenshire.
“We are currently following up all of the sightings reported to us.
“We are encouraged by the information we have received however we are still anxious to trace Terence. I would appeal that if anyone remembers seeing a man matching Terence’s description that they call us.
“Police Scotland divers were out yesterday in the Bridge of Dee area and officers have today been following up on the sightings we’ve been made aware of so far.
“Terence is known to go camping and spend time outdoors and it is thought he may have recently been camping in the Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire areas. We also believe Terence may be using a bicycle.
“If you have any information which may help us trace Terence please contact us on 101. We would also appeal to Terence himself to contact us directly so we can establish his safety and welfare.”
Mr Kilbride is described as 6ft tall with short dark greying hair and blue eyes.
