A woman was rescued after being injured on a Greater Manchester hill.

The 47-year-old woman injured her leg when she collided with a dog while walking on top of Werneth Low near Hyde.

Glossop Mountain Rescue Team was called out on Monday evening at the request of ambulance staff.

Paramedics treated the walker at the scene and Glossop MRT volunteers then stretchered her to the road, where an ambulance was waiting.

The rescue, which involved 17 Glossop team members, ended about 8pm.
