The body of a missing holidaymaker has been found on a ridge on the Isle of Skye.
Kamai Yusuke, 29, from Japan, had been reported missing after failing to return to his accommodation in Portree on Saturday.
Police Scotland said Mr Yusuke’s body was found in the Trotternish Ridge area after a member of the public contacted them.
A police spokesperson said: “There are no suspicious circumstances and next of kin has been informed. Police would like to thank search and rescue personnel, members of the public and the media for their assistance.”
A search is continuing elsewhere on the island for a French hillwalker who was reported missing.
Skye Mountain Rescue Team and colleagues from the RAF mountain rescue team have been joined by Search and Rescue Dogs Association members and the Stornoway Coastguard helicopter in efforts to find 58-year-old Thierry Coffie, who is believed to have headed for the Cuillin Ridge.
The search is centred on the An Dorus area between Sgùrr a’ Mhadaidh and Sgùrr a’ Greadaidh.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Land and air searches have been ongoing since 9pm on Tuesday and are continuing throughout today.
“Anyone walking in this area is asked to be aware of this information and if anyone has had contact with the missing walker they are asked to contact Police Scotland via 101.”
