Italian brand Asolo has a new technical approach shoe for the summer months.
The Magix features an asymmetrical lacing system which firmly secures the foot to prevent free heel movement while its low profile cut frees up the ankle for greater manoeuvrability.
The shoe joins the company’s Alpine range and is aimed at summer and Alpine trekking and via ferrata users.
The Magix features Asolo’s Anti-Shock sole technology, which utilises a dual-density midsole for reduced weight and heightened comfort, combined with a durable, water-resistant, Schoeller K-Tech and suede upper with a breathable velveteen lining.
The Magix weighs 860g for a pair of size eights, and will retail at £130.
The shoe uses the Asoflex 00MR last and is made in the EU.
It comes in separate men’s and women’s fit and has a Vibram Friction sole.
Details are on the Asolo website.
