Police have released details of the walker who is believed to be missing in the Steall area of the Highlands.
Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team and the Inverness Coastguard search and rescue helicopter have been searching the area for the past two days for Tom Brown, who was last seen on Wednesday last week.
Mr Brown, 65, of Lanarkshire, left his home on 1 July and is known to have checked in to Glen Nevis Youth Hostel at 5.30pm the following day.
Police said his rucksack and contents were found about 1km east of Steall Falls in the Glen Nevis area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “If anyone has information regarding Mr Brown’s whereabouts, or may have seen someone fitting his description while out walking in Glen Nevis between the aforementioned dates, they are urged to contact police on 101.”
Mr Brown is described as 5ft 10ins (1.78m) tall, of stocky build with grey-brown bushy hair and eyebrows.
The search was the second for a missing walker in the Steall area in a month. In June, a major search failed to find experienced hillwalker Eric Cyl after he was reported missing after heading for a trip in the same area.
More than 60 rescuers took part in the main operation to try to find Mr Cyl, who was believed to be in the Steall, Glen Nevis, Grey Corries, Aonach Beag or Mamores area.
Last month, police brought in a drone to try to locate 62-year-old Mr Cyl, but without success.
