A mountain rescue turned out to aid a dog reported to be stuck on a ledge on a Lake District fell.
Twenty-nine members of Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team were involved in the incident yesterday.
The team was called out at 7.20pm after reports the animal was injured and cragfast on Hay Stacks. However, when the rescuers reached the site, they discovered the dog was not injured and was actually just loose on the mountain.
