A climber was rescued after suffering serious injuries in a fall from a West Yorkshire crag.
The 23-year-old fell 9m (30ft) from Cow and Calf Rocks at Ilkley yesterday.
Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association was called out about 8pm to aid the man, who suffered what the rescuers said were very serious head and chest injuries in the fall.
Team members helped and ambulance service paramedic in stabilising the climber before he was stretchered to a waiting ambulance.
