The Teva Riva Peak Mid eVent men's boot

Teva, best known for its range of activity sandals, is promising ‘flip-flop comfort’ with the launch of its top-of-the-range boot.

The Riva Peak Mid boot will hit the shops in early spring, featuring a full-grain leather upper with eVent waterproof protection and a sturdy Vibram sole.

Teva says the boot has been designed to provide a superior fit, durability and the comfort that outdoor fans have come expect from its sandal range.

A company spokesperson said: “The Riva Peak Mid eVent provides superior fit and comfort through a widened forefoot, while the heel maintains stability.

“On the upper the 2mm rich, full-grain leather and toe bumper provide durability and protection. Feet are kept dry and cool with the eVent waterproof, breathable membrane, which stops water from entering the boot, and allows moisture to escape.

“The Riva Peak Mid also features a Vibram outsole comprising deep lugs for grip on loose or wet terrain.”

Other features include a PU midsole, nylon shank and heel stabiliser to keep feet stable, centred and in control, the company said.

“A soft Shoc Pad in the heel provides shock absorption and a Mush infused insole brings flip-flop comfort to a walking shoe,” the spokesperson added.

The Riva Peak Mid eVent will retail at £140 and come in sizes 6 to 12 for men and 4 to 8 for women. Colours are insignia blue and rhubarb respectively.
