A walker was guided to safety after getting lost on a Lake District mountain.
The 60-year-old from Newcastle-under-Lyme in Staffordshire rang for help when he became disoriented in mist on Hay Stacks.
Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team was called out at 1.30pm today and used the Sarloc smartphone software to pinpoint his position on the fell.
He was then given directions to make his own way down and a small number of rescuers met him as he approached the valley.
The rescue involved five Cockermouth MRT volunteers.

27 November 2013Compass?
Map?
1.30pm?
He'd hardly wandered around in the mists for hours had he? and he had another 2 1/2 hours before it starts to go dark.
Probably a holidaymaker who had read about it being Wainwrights favourite and thought i'll have a look. I'd lay money on the fact they didnt have a map or compass and even though it's nearly the end of November they probably didn't carry a torch, spare warm clothing etc.
No doubt i'll get my head bitten off by somebody telling me that everyone has the right to make a mistake or two.
There's mistakes and there's selfish stupidity. Five people dragged out to something that was totally avoidable!
You should have pointed him to Ennerdale and let him have a long walk!!
