Rescuers searching for a missing walker on the Isle of Skye have found a man’s body.
The discovery was made in the Coir’a’Ghrundda area of the Cuillin range, which lies south of Sgùrr Alasdair.
Skye Mountain Rescue Team, an RAF mountain rescue team, Search and Rescue Dogs Association team members and the Highland and Islands Division Police Dog Section were joined in today’s search by the Stornoway Coastguard helicopter and a Sea King search and rescue helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth.
Searches for the walker began yesterday after he failed to return from a walk in the area the previous evening.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police are in the process of contacting next of kin and no further information will be released until a formal identification has taken place.”
