It may be warm in the great outdoors but gear manufacturers are already looking to winter with their latest offerings.
Italian boot brand Zamberlan has a new Alpine boot aimed at ice climbers, glacier use and high Alpine routes.
The new Fitzroy is lasted to provide precise fit, maximum sensitivity and top performance.
The boot features single piece uppers, thick premium grade Hydrobloc leather, stiff midsoles and Vibram outer soles. They are compatible with a wide variety of crampons with choice and fitting dependent on intended use of the boot.
The Fitzroy comes in men’s and women’s versions in sizes 37 to 48 for the former and 37 to 43 for the latter and is hitting the shops now, priced £290 a pair.
Weight is 1,580g a pair for a size 42.
The Trek Magic is a new introduction into the popular mountain walking category which is specifically designed to provide comfort and support needed for long treks, backpacking trips and snowshoeing.
The tough boots are designed to cope with all kinds of terrain.
The Trek Magic features high performance midsoles which are stiff enough to ensure stability and torsional rigidity on rough terrain combined with high traction and high grip soles with superb cushioning systems for added comfort.
The boots have Gore-Tex Performance Comfort waterproof membranes and weigh 1,680g a pair for a size 42. Men’s come in sizes 40 to 48 and women’s in 37 to 43.
Price per pair is £250.
