Rescuers were twice called out to deal with walkers in the Peak District affected by the heat at the weekend.
Glossop Mountain Rescue Team was alerted after a 20-year-old man’s grandparents contacted police.
The walker was tackling the Pennine Way but had not re-established contact after complaining of feeling dizzy when standing up. Phone contact was lost during a call to his grandparents.
The team was joined by colleagues from the Kinder team in the search for the man.
A Glossop MRT spokesperson said: “The casualty set off from Edale at 4pm on Wednesday, camped near Jacob’s Ladder on Kinder that night and Hern Basin on Bleaklow on Thursday night.
“Glossop and Kinder teams were tasked to search the section of Pennine Way from Snake Summit to Torside, accessing from both ends.
“The casualty was located walking off the hill 30m from Reaps farm track. He was unaware mountain rescue had been mobilised.
“He was dehydrated, had sunburn and was inexperienced for the walk he was undertaking. His kit was sufficient for the conditions.
“The casualty also had acquired a dog which had been following him since leaving the River Noe in Edale.”
The walker was taken to the Glossop team’s base for a debrief before being picked up by his grandparents.
The Glossop tam was then asked to help a 76-year-old walker with a group of friends on Cock Hill near Old Glossop.
The man had reported feeling dizzy for some time and was unable to continue.
Team members treated the man at the scene and gave him oxygen before stretchering down to Old Glossop.

16 July 2013No, you are not getting away with the phase 'The casualty also had acquired a dog which had been following him since leaving the River Noe in Edale' without some form of follow up.

17 July 2013The dog was returned safe and well to its owner later that day.
