With warmer weather – hopefully – on the horizon, Berghaus has introduced a range of lightweight softshell jackets.
The Cadence jacket is made from three-layer Gore Windstopper Soft Shell combined with Berghaus’s own AF Softshell.
The Windstopper material makes up the main body while AF panels incorporate four-way stretch and add breathability on the move.
The jacket, which weighs 375g for a size large, features two raised, zipped pockets which are rucksack compatible, an exposed centre-front zip, stretch bound cuffs with thumb loops and a dropped hem with draw cord adjustment.
The Cadence jacket sells at £100; a gilet version, weighing 264g, retails at £85.
The Pulse and its women’s version the Urgency are both in Berghaus’s AF Softshell, giving wind and water resistance, and freedom of movement with its four-way stretch.
A Berghaus spokesperson said: “The fabric is very breathable and lightweight and ideal for a wide range of fast moving outdoor activities, and when keeping product weights low and kit packable are a must.”
Price for the Pulse is £90 and the jacket weighs 315g for a size large; it features two raised, zipped rucksack-compatible pockets, an exposed centre-front zip, articulated sleeves, stretch bound cuffs with thumb loops and a stretch bound hem.
The women’s Urgency, at £85 and 243.5g for a size 12, has two zipped front pockets, an exposed centre-front zip, stretch bound cuffs and a stretch bound hem.
