The family of a walker whose body was found on a Highland mountain have thanked rescuers.
James Jack, known as Jim, was reported missing in the Glenfinnan area and his body was found on Streap on Saturday.
Mr Jack, of Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, was found by members of the Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team on the 909m (2,982ft) peak about 5km north-east of the Corryhully bothy, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
RAF Leuchars Mountain Rescue Team also helped in the search, which was supported by a Sea King helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth.
Relatives put out a statement through the police, saying: “The family wish to thank both the Lochaber and RAF Mountain Rescue and emergency services for their efforts.
“We also are extremely grateful to Northern Constabulary for their help and support at this difficult time.”
