Two walkers have been found safe and well after spending the night on a Highland mountain.
The pair were reported missing at 8pm last night, Saturday, by a companion who had become separated from them on Ben Vorlich in Perthshire.
A Tayside Police spokesperson said: “The male had become separated from his two friends, both aged in their 30s, and made his way to Ardvorlich near to Lochearnhead, where he raised the alarm.
“Both males are believed to be experienced and in possession and appropriate equipment for the conditions.”
The Tayside Police Search and Rescue team was called out and a search and rescue helicopter joined the search for the missing men on the 985m (3,232ft) munro.
The spokesperson said: “Following a land and air search, the two walkers were both traced safe and well at about 5am this morning on Ben Vorlich.”

18 February 2013I'm amazed as to how people become seperated. If the weather is bad and low cloud its sensible to all stay together, but in the many years I've been in the mountains the talender seems to get left behind - seems like an ego thing. a group walking together SHOULD keep together.
I often think about the old gent who got left behind on Ben Cruachan, a very very sad story.
