Sleeping-bag brand Snugpak has launched a new range incorporating built-in antibacterial technology and mosquito nets.
The Travelpak series consists of five models aimed at trekkers heading for regions where biting insects might be a problem.
The West Yorkshire-based company said: “Snugpak’s exclusive Paratex antibacterial technology discourages the growth of bacteria, keeping the sleeping bag fresher for longer.
“The built-in ‘roll away when not in use’ mosquito net, which was a first for the industry from Snugpak in 2007, is an ingenious solution which provides a natural way to protect the user from biting insects.
“It is even possible to seal the sleeping bag when not in use, to ensure that no creepy crawlies enter the bag when out and about during the day.”
The range extends from the Travelpak 1, weighing 850g and giving a comfort rating down to 7C and extreme rating to 2C. The sleeping bag retails at £34.95.
The warmest model in the collection is the Travelpak 4, which Snugpak classes as a winter sleeping bag, weighs 1,900g and has a Comfort rating of –7C and extreme of –10C. The model sells at £59.95.
