An inquest has been opened into the death of a man who was rescued from south Wales’s second-highest mountain.
Captain Robert Carnegie from Dublin died at Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil several hours after being found on Corn Du about 9.40pm on Saturday.
Capt Carnegie was a member of the Royal Corps of Signals. Corn Du is in an area of the Brecon Beacons used extensively for training and testing of the UK’s Special Forces.
Dyfed-Powys Police said the inquest was adjourned to a later date.
