Self-inflating mattresses from Spanish outdoor brand Trangoworld have been certified to an international standard guaranteeing their anti-allergenic qualities.
The Oeko-Tex 100 certificate also marks the mats’ textiles’ ecological qualities.
It guarantees the mattresses are free of allergenic elements, heavy metals and carcinogenic substances.
Included in the range is the Micro Lite, which has a polyester non-slip external cover, very low density foam inner in a ‘mummy’ shape with horizontal channels.
The company said: “The Micro Lite has extremely fast inflation and deflation processes and offers superb thermal insulation whilst weight and volume is fully optimised.
“This makes them ideal for lightweight backpacking and other activities where weight is an issue but comfort and warmth is still a necessity.”
The sleeping mat weighs 712g and comes with a stuff sack. Typical retail price is £80. The 185cm-long mattress is 50cm wide and has an inflated depth of 3cm.
Its lightweight cousin the Skin Micro Lite has a polyurethane film non-slip external cover and tips the scales at just 540g.
Trangoworld said: “It has the same specifications as the Micro Lite except it is even lighter whilst still offering excellent thermal insulation making it the perfect option for the fast packer and speed hiker.”
The Skin Micro Lite has the same dimensions as the Micro Lite, and retails at £45.
