One new and one upgraded boot have been unveiled by KEEN.
New for the autumn winter season is the Bryce Mid WP, a light mid-cut hiking boot which KEEN says is suitable for day treks and short overnights in the backcountry.
Constructed in water-resistant Nubuck leather this streamlined trail shoe features a KEEN.DRY waterproof breathable membrane, a TPU shank to ensure torsional rigidity and stability and KEEN.ZORB, a foam-based cushioning layer that delivers instant step-in comfort.
A compression moulded EVA midsole and metatomical EVA footbed give claimed out of the box comfort and good arch support. The Bryce is available in men and women’s specific editions in a choice of low or mid cut for additional ankle support. Price for the low version is £110, with the mid version £115.
Respective weights are 517g and 554g.
Expanding on KEEN’s Alamosa collection, the men’s and women’s Alamosa Mid WP is a mid-height, waterproof version of the popular hybrid, which the company said is ideal for quick off-road trails, light backpacking trips or high-intensity everyday wear.
The light hiking footwear is built on multi-directional lugs for superior traction and engineered with an S3 heel cup for shock absorption, suspension and stability.
The midsole features a combined EVA – for increased forefoot mobility – and PU – for increased stability in the heel area – construction, delivering cushioning with durability.
Torsional stability is provided laterally and in the mid-foot area of the sole by TPU inserts, while EVA heel cushions and a metatomical EVA footbed cradle the foot with every step for extra comfort, KEEN said.
The 496g boot retails at £110.
