Police in Stornoway have found the body of a man.

The remains were found in the Dail Mòr area of the Isle of Lewis yesterday, Saturday.

Coastguard cliff rescue teams, the Stornoway helicopter and a lifeboat all took part in recovering the man’s body.

Northern Constabulary has not released details of the man and they say they will not until formal identification takes place.

A police spokesperson said a post-mortem examination will take place.

Police in the Western Isles have been searching for Tamas Gador who went missing after going camping on Lewis. He had last been seen on Lewis a week ago.

Mr Gador’s father Peter flew from their home in Hungary to help the search for the 27-year-old and his sister Krisztina Gador Meyers contacted grough to appeal to outdoor enthusiasts to be on the lookout for her brother.

Dail Mòr lies on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis, near the village of Càrlabhagh.
