A walker has died after falling from a path on Britain’s highest mountain.
The man was coming down the tourist track from 1,344m (4,409ft) Ben Nevis yesterday, Friday, when the incident happened about 10pm.
The walker slipped and fell near a steep river gully.
Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team was called out and began a search for the man and he was found in the gully, but died from his injuries.
A Northern Constabulary spokesperson said a report into the walker’s death is being prepared for the procurator fiscal.
