The Black Diamond Z-Pole Distance FL
A lightweight rucksack designed especially for women is among the range of innovative outdoor products introduced by Black Diamond.
Its technical range aimed at fast and light outdoor athletes and walkers also include the Z-Pole series and Sprinter headtorch.
The EXL pack is part of the Velocity range from the American company aimed at runners, bikers and walkers. It incorporates the company’s SwingArm shoulder straps for balance and comfort.
The 20-litre EXL pack is priced at £69.99 and weighs 700g.
The Chase pack is designed for women and is a mid-sized day pack with ergoACTIV suspension and zipped panel access.

Black Diamond said: “This series of packs is designed for the technical day hiker and it embodies speed, flexibility and efficient motion.”
The pack comes in both 22-litre and 24-litre capacities, weighing 1,050g and 1,080g respectively, and costs £99.99.

The Z-Pole design features a coated inner cord, a single push-button release, and speed cone deployment, which the firm said aligns like an avalanche probe for increased rigidity.
The EXL rucksack
The Distance FL retails at £99.99 a pair in both men’s and women’s versions and range from 430g to 460g per pair, dependent on size.
The Sprinter headtorch has rechargeable batteries and Black Diamond says an excellent fore-aft balance make it the ideal choice for high impact activities.
The 75-lumen torch has a red tail-light strobe for urban running and walking and is rechargeable through a USB port in five hours.
It weighs 105g and retails at £69.99.
