Outdoor brand Mammut has unveiled its new walking boot designed specifically for the British terrain.
The Swiss company, which formerly marketed its footwear under the Raichle brand, said the Brecon Boot is ideal for UK walkers, whether it’s for a stroll along the South Downs or a hike in the Yorkshire Dales.
Mammut said: “Due to the sheer volume of requests for a three-season walking boot designed specifically for UK terrain that won’t break the bank, Mammut has launched the men’s Brecon Boot.
“The mid-height leather boot will cost £145 and is exclusive to the UK.”
The Brecon uses a durable 2.2mm high-quality, waxed suede leather and is available in sizes 6½ to 12 and 13.
The Brecon has a Gore-Tex lining to keep feet dry and is fitted with the Vibram MT Traction sole which the company said provides optimum grip and traction.
A spokesperson added: “Mammut’s patented Rolling Concept works with padding around the tongue and ankle and the thermoplastic arch support to ensure all-round support from the first step to the last.”
A list of stockists is available on the Mammut website or by ringing 01625 508218.
