The Ark DS 200
Tent brand Vango has boosted its Adventure range with the addition of three new models.
The tents, all of which come in at with a £150 price tag or less, are aimed at the camper looking for short breaks or even festival-goers.
The trio, weighing between 3.45kg and 8kg, is pitched at the valley camper rather than backpackers.
Vango said: “Adventure tents are perfect for people on the move due to their lightweight and easy-to-carry bags and quick and easy pitching.
“With three new models introduced for 2012, the range now consists of eight impressive tent models, each with their own unique user features and design, providing something for everyone.”
The Ark DS two-person tent weighs just less than 3.5kg and has all-in-one pitching with a tunnel style in Protex embossed 70D with a hydrostatic head of 3,000mm. It has a breathable polyester inner and sewn-in polythene groundsheet with a hydrostatic head of 10,000mm.
The Ark DS has colour-coded poles, a part-mesh inner door and new, larger windows.
The two-person model will sell at £85; the three person, weighing 4.1kg, will retail at £95 and the four-person £110 with a weight of 5.4kg.
The Alpha 300
For those on a tighter budget, the Alpha 250 has a £65 price tag and weighs 3.6kg.
It has inner-first pitching and also has the 3,000mm HH embossed 70D Protex fly; polyethylene 10,000mm HH inner tent and porch groundsheets and breathable polyester inner tent.
It has a linked-in groundsheet, pre-attached guylines and holders and a part-mesh inner door.
The 300 version costs £75 and weighs 4.05kg; and the Alpha 400 tips the scales at 5.15kg, costing £85.
The Vango Zeal shares the same material for its inner tent and flysheets and can be pitched all in one or flysheet first.
The Zeal 200
As with all the new models, it has inner tent pockets and a lantern loop. Its poles are colour-coded and it has Vango’s new larger windows.
The Zeal also features the company’s AirZone ventilation system.
The Zeal 200 costs £80 and weighs 4.4kg; the 300 is £95 and weighs 4.8kg; the 400 costs £120 and is 5.9kg and the 500 tips the scales at 8kg and will retail at £150.
