A mountain biker was rescued after falling and injuring herself in a Lakeland forest.
Fourteen members of the Coniston Mountain Rescue Team went to the aid of the woman after the incident in Grizedale Forest.
The team was alerted about 2.45pm on Friday.
The rider was treated at the scene for a leg injury and taken to a waiting ambulance for further treatment at hospital.

07 March 2012Wow that sucks that she hurt herself but its good that they were able to help her out. I have heard of some cases that the people did not have a phone or were not easily found. I always carry my emergency kit when I ride. I just got a new bike too.
