A new multi-activity shoe from Edinburgh-based brand Anatom is a lightweight model aimed at outdoor enthusiasts tackling anything from fast-paced trail hiking to scrambling.
The Ventra Series V1 shoe hits that shops at a competitive £65 a pair and tips the scales at 805g for a size 42 pair.
The shoe is available in women’s and men’s models, with sizes 36 to 42 for women and 42 to 48 for men.
The company, whose brands also include the Superfeet insole and teko socks, said: “The V1 provides comfort and performance and is made from polyester mesh, suede and PU Nubuck.
“It delivers a high level of torsional support and stability thanks to the wrap around, external Heel Cradle Support System and the high traction, durable sole adds superb grip when the terrain gets rough.
“The Tri.aria membrane provides waterproofness, breathability and durability by allowing moisture vapour to pass through yet prevents water from entering the shoe.
“Anatom’s Trail-Grip 1 outsole provides natural movement, great stability, superb shock absorption and grip on all trail surfaces.”
The shoe’s lining is hydrophobic Interface One and its insole is EVA with a mesh topsheet.
