Police have charged a man with dangerous driving after a second incident in which an off-road vehicle was found on the summit of Wales’s highest mountain.
North Wales Police said a 39-year-old man was charged last night with driving a motor vehicle dangerously and driving a vehicle on common land or moorland or land not part of a road.
The charges relate to the discovery of a maroon Vauxhall Frontera behind the Hafod Eryri building at the 1,085m (3,560ft) summit on Thursday, 29 September.
Police said the man has been bailed to appear before Caernarfon Magistrates on 4 November.
- Craig Williams, 39, of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is due to appear at Caernarfon Crown Court for a committal hearing on 2 December, charged with dangerous driving, and driving a vehicle on common land or moorland or land not part of a road on 3 September on Snowdon.
Mr Williams, a freelance vehicle recovery agent, denies the dangerous driving charge.

09 December 2011Jail him. I've no respect for the system but, this guy is an absolute idiot and has done something that could endanger people not once, but twice. The moron even poses by his vehicle, which is sheer provocation. So, throw the book at the immature twerp although, I'm sure he'll go down the route that he has some form of mental illness. Oh, and don't bother giving his 4x4 back next time.
