A climber has died after falling on a north Wales crag.

Police said the body of a man was found just after 12.22pm yesterday, Saturday, at the bottom of a well-known climbing venue in Llanddullas, near Abergale, Conwy.

It is believed the man was climbing with his son when he fell from a height of about 20m (66ft).

Mountain rescuers were joined by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and a Sea King helicopter from RAF Valley at the scene, near Cefn yr Ogof.

North Wales Police said no further details were available.
