Police have named a man who fell to his death while climbing on Skye.
Neil Wylie, 34, of Carnoustie, Angus, suffered serious head injuries in the incident on the Cuillins on Friday. He and another man were climbing in the Whispering Wall area of Sgurr a Mhadaidh.
He was airlifted to Broadford Hospital, Skye, by a Coastguard helicopter, after his companion raised the alarm about 12.30pm, but was pronounced dead. Mr Wylie fell about 25m (80ft). Skye Mountain Rescue Team and the Northern Constabulary went to his aid.
