The West Highland Way, Scotland’s first long-distance trail, has been open now for 27 years, so grough thought it was high time we tried it out.
The 95-mile long-distance path runs from the outskirts of Glasgow to Fort William. En route, it passes through some of the Highlands’ most impressive scenery. We walked the way last month, and you can read our comprehensive view of the route: its highs, its lows; what’s good, what’s not so good. If you’re thinking of tackling the trail, it’s essential reading.
