Are you athletic, but forgetful? Did you make a mental note somewhere that you must do something vital on 1 August?

Well, you’ve got less than an hour to get your entry in for the Original Mountain Marathon – the OMM – because entries close at midnight tonight.

For those non-night-owls among our readers, it’s already too late. If you’re reading this on Thursday or later, entries for the 2007 OMM closed at the end of yesterday. The two-day race, a combination of orienteering, running, hillwalking and camping, will take place at the end of October, somewhere in southern Scotland.

Organisers say the exact location will be revealed at tea-time on Sunday, 5 August.
