Walkers can help a rescue charity while tackling Scotland’s northernmost Munro.

Assynt Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) is looking for volunteers to walk up Ben Hope in aid of both the team and Alzheimer Scotland. The route will be staffed by team members and involves about 3,000ft (914m) of ascent.

Deadline for sending in application forms is 11 June. You can download a fundraising pack from the Assynt MRT website . The total distance is just short of four miles (6.4km) and should take between four and six hours, depending on fitness levels.

The walk will be the 10th annual fundraiser for the team, which is sponsored by Old Pultney Distillery.
