There’s more TV interest for lovers of mountains tomorrow when ITV broadcasts the documentary of Sir Ranulph Fiennes’s conquest of the Eiger’s North Face.
Once again, you’ll need digital access because it’s being shown on ITV4. There’s a trailer on Sir Ran’s MySpace site to give you a taste of the programme.
According to the ITV blurb, Sir Ranulph, who suffers from vertigo and is afraid of heights as well as having had a heart operation, said the climb was: horrific, hairy and hell. Should make for good viewing.
The programme, Sir Ranulph Fiennes’s Eiger Sanction, airs at 9pm tomorrow, 4 April. You can see his MySpace page here .
